This is Football Phonics, the game that makes learning reading and pronunciation FUN!
 
In this game, players draw football cards, pronounce the word on the card, and play "football" on the field with the card they drew! Not only are students pronouncing the word when they draw, but they are constantly pronouncing the words throughout the game as they make their plays. This helps reinforce what they've learned and makes the words stick in their long-term memory!
 
The game comes with 10 team pairings that use a total of 19 football teams. The pieces are made to be laminated and re-used. The football cards are blank to allow for customization - the teacher should use a dry-erase marker to write a current vocabulary word on each card.
 
How to Play:
Print onto standard letter-size paper, cut out, and laminate game pieces.
Using a dry-erase marker, write a vocabulary word on each football card.
Choose a board (team pairing) and assign each player a team. Write the team names on the scoreboard.
Each player takes a turn:
Draw a football card, pronounce the word, and place it on the 50-yard line.
Spin to determine your play, and place football accordingly. (If you spin 10 yards, move your football 10 yards, etc)

Each player gets 4 spins per turn. Keep score on the scoreboard. Field goals are worth 3 points & touchdowns are worth 6 points!
Game ends when there are no cards left to draw. The player with the most points wins!
