Self-Publishing for Kids

Does your child love creating stories? In this course, I will teach your child to create and publish their own book on Amazon! Your child can write and illustrate their book, or write the book and add graphic elements. This course is targeted to ages 9-12, but that age is flexible. I have also had children outside of that age range self-publish books. Creating and publishing a book is a great experience for a child because it teaches them to have confidence in their creativity. It is great for neurodivergent kids who might be bored with the standard methods of teaching in the classroom. It's also a great way for a child to experience entrepreneurship, as they will be able to sell the books once they are published! In this course, I will go over the following topics: ✎ Coming up with an idea ✎ Mapping out your story ✎ Creating an engaging story ✎ Writing the story ✎ Laying out the book in Canva (includes free templates!) ✎ How to bring your hand-drawn illustrations into Canva ✎ Using graphic elements to create pictures ✎ How to avoid errors when uploading to Amazon KDP ✎ Adding a copyright page, dedication page, and author page ✎ Creating your font and back cover ✎ Uploading & publishing to Amazon KDP
